Ancestor Gallery Wall – How We Did It for Less and How You Can Too

Bright indoor photograph of a black kitchen island countertop completely covered with stacks of picture frames in many sizes, shapes, finishes, and styles. Most frames are rectangular and made of medium or dark brown wood, while several ornate gold-toned frames are layered in the foreground and right side. A few smaller oval-opening frames and narrow rectangular frames are mixed into the piles. Some frames still contain glass, cream mats, photographs, or printed documents, while others are empty. Near the center-left of the countertop is a brown bottle standing upright beside a dark fuzzy object, and near the front center is a clear drinking glass filled with ice. White shaker-style cabinetry with silver cup pulls and knobs is visible beneath the black counter. In the background are two wooden dining chairs with X-shaped backs, a gray upholstered sofa, a dark dresser or chest of drawers, and a woven basket filled with household items. Bright daylight streams in from windows on the left and behind the sofa, creating strong highlights and reflections on the frame glass. The image documents the sorting stage of a large family photograph or gallery wall project.
