These are some of the most frequently asked questions in our customer support inbox. General Support
Our courses are designed for homeschooling families and creative beginners of all ages who want to make art a joyful part of learning. We primarily serve homeschooling moms looking for simple, low-prep ways to weave creativity and connection into their days. Whether you’re new to art or just looking for a fresh approach, our programs offer a supportive, self-paced way to explore creativity, culture, nature, and more—without the overwhelm.
Our courses are completely self-paced, designed to fit your unique family rhythm. You can spend as little as 15–30 minutes a week on most activities, or dive deeper when you have more time. Many of our projects can be completed in under an hour. There are no deadlines or required schedules—just flexible, easy-to-follow lessons you can enjoy at your own pace.
You’ll have access to our private Facebook groups where you can ask questions, share your projects, and connect with a supportive, like-minded community. Our team checks in regularly and offers feedback, encouragement, and guidance. Most of our courses are secular with optional faith-based content. Some seasonal materials, like Christmas watercolor projects and a few poems, include gentle Christian references. Wherever faith-based material is offered, it’s clearly labeled and easy to skip if you prefer. We believe in letting each family decide what fits best for them.
We keep supplies simple and minimal! You’ll typically need basic watercolor paints, a few brushes, and good watercolor paper. A detailed list with links is provided inside each course. While we recommend certain supplies for the best results, you are absolutely welcome to use what you already have at home. Flexibility is the name of the game around here!
Content Access and Troubleshooting
All of our courses are hosted on Teachable. After enrolling, you’ll receive an email with a direct link to your course. You can also always log in at lily-and-thistle-studio.teachable.com with your username (email address) and password. We recommend bookmarking this page to ensure you can always access the site easily.
If you’re having trouble logging in at lily-and-thistle-studio.teachable.com, click on “Forgot Password” to go through the reset prompts. If the reset email doesn’t show up (be sure to check your spam or promotions folder), we’re happy to help! Just send us a quick note at support@lilyandthistle.com, and we can assist you with a temporary password to get you back in quickly.
Teachable recently added a code verification step when logging in. But don’t worry—you can opt out of it! When you see the screen asking for a six-digit code, simply look just below the “Verify” button and “Resend Code” option. There, you’ll see a link that says “Login with password instead.” Click that, and you can log in the usual way with your email and password.
First, try clearing your browser cache or switching to a different browser (like Chrome or Safari). Make sure your internet connection is stable. If you’re still having trouble, send us an email at support@lilyandthistle.com. We’re happy to help troubleshoot and get you back to creating!
Subscriptions, Payments, and Refunds
Lifetime Access means you pay once and have permanent access to your course.
Monthly Subscription gives you access to all available courses while your membership is active. Cancel anytime—but if you cancel, you’ll lose access to the courses unless you opt to purchase Lifetime Access separately.
We want you to be truly happy with your experience! If you’re not satisfied with your course purchase, contact us within 14 days of purchase, and we’ll provide a full refund. Just email us at support@lilyandthistle.com.
We occasionally offer special promotions and bundle deals. The best way to stay in the loop is to join our email list—you’ll be the first to know about sales and new course launches! (P.S. We also usually share insider sales with our private Facebook groups!)
Homeschool-Specific Questions
Yes, we love working with charter schools! If you’re curious whether we accept funds from your specific program or you would like for us to apply to be a vendor, please email us at support@lilyandthistle.com with your charter school’s information, and we’ll take it from there.
We’re happy to offer special group pricing for co-ops and small groups! Whether you’re gathering with 2 families or organizing for up to 30, we have pricing options to fit your needs. Just send us an email at support@lilyandthistle.com and we will be happy to provide you with more details.
Course-Specific Questions
Once you log in to your account at lily-and-thistle-studio.teachable.com with your username (email address) and password, you’ll see all the courses you’re enrolled in listed on your dashboard. Easy peasy!
While our courses are each unique, you can typically expect step-by-step video tutorials, traceable templates, supply lists, bonus resources, and access to our private support groups. Below are some additional details on the specific courses we offer:

- Around the World is our creative online course that blends art and geography, taking kids on a fun, hands-on journey across the globe. Through engaging projects and step-by-step lessons, children explore different cultures, landmarks, and artistic traditions while developing their own artistic skills!
Each course is designed to be unique, with its own focus and materials. That said, there is a small amount of overlap between Nature’s Art Club and Watercolor School—specifically a few nature-inspired watercolor paintings that appear in both.
