  1. Hmmm. I’m not very good at adding healthy recipes…I usually post treats! πŸ™‚ I did post my mealmaker meatball recipe, a while back. You make a big batch of meatballs, and then freeze for future use. It really helps on those busy days. Meatballs

  2. One of our favorites is Chicken Pot Pie from the Betty Crocker cookbook. If I don’t feel like making the crust, I will substitute biscuits for on top. Yum, makes me hungry thinking about it πŸ™‚

  3. shoot! i can’t get my kids to eat fish! i love fish! and then my hubby’s coworker complain when he reheats fish for the next day…no win meal for me! but love that recipe…our favorite recipe? a simple one…aztec quiche. i use store bought pie crust…beat 3 large egggs, 1/2 teaspoon salt, 1/8 teaspoon ground cumin,1 cup half/half…layer pie crust with 1 cup grated monteray jack cheese, then the eggs mixture, then 4 ounce can diced green chilies (i usually use 1/2 can to avoid any complaints!).
    325 in the overn for 45 minutes! yum

  4. We always love soup and salad with “grillies”…grilled cheese. That is my fast meal for days that are really busy. My kids also love Pioneer Woman’s chicken enchiladas. Have you tried them? Wow..they are delish. Other staples in our house: Meatloaf {I also use PW’s}, tacos, chicken pot pie, and homemade pizza.

  5. Everyone in my family loves Margarita Chicken served with Black or Red Beans and Rice. It is super easy. On birthdays it is the most requested recipe around our home.

  6. Here’s a recipe for a super easy (and very tasty) lasagna dish. No boiling noodles, just assemble and bake! Sorry it’s a long comment, I don’t have a link.

    Spinach Lasagna
    2 cups cottage cheese
    1 package (10 oz) frozen spinach, thaw and drain
    1/8 tsp. pepper
    ¾ tsp. oregano
    2 cups shredded mozzarella
    1 egg
    1 jar marinara sauce
    9 lasagna noodles
    Approx. ½ to 1 cup water

    Combine spinach, cottage cheese, 1 cup mozzarella, seasoning and egg in a medium size bowl

    Layer in a 9×13 baking dish:
    ½ cup sauce
    3 noodles
    ½ cheese mixture
    (repeat above)
    3 noodles
    Sauce
    1 cup mozzarella and parmesan cheese (optional)

    Pour water around the edges of the pan and bake uncovered in a 350 degree oven for 1 hour

  7. i have a recipe for an wonderful split pea soup that seriously takes 10 minutes to prepare. Then cook it in the crockpot. My five kids gobbled it up and my oldest daughter even asked me if it is something she could make in college next year!

  8. I’d be lying if I said Matthew didn’t get a little misty-eyed when he saw this picture. There was a two second delay as he tried to figure out who it was. Then the light in his eyes screamed “Warrel”.
