Watercolor Flower Tutorial Peony Pattern

Overhead art workspace with a hand holding a white peony pattern sheet above taped watercolor paper. The printed or traced line drawing shows a large many-petaled peony flower at upper left, several narrow sepals below the bloom, a long diagonal stem, two pointed leaves on a smaller branch at upper right, and a drooping pair of leaves lower on the stem. Small handwritten text near the bottom reads “Peony bud.” Behind the sheet are a stained white mixing tray covered with pink, green, yellow, and blue watercolor marks, a handwritten color-swatch card, an open watercolor pan set, a large clear jar of water, several blue-handled brushes resting on a paint-stained paper towel, and assorted art tools in a clear organizer.

Reference-pattern photograph from a watercolor peony tutorial. A hand displays the full line-art template used for the project, showing a layered peony blossom, leafy stem, pointed upper leaves, lower drooping leaves, and the handwritten label “Peony bud.” The pattern is held over a taped watercolor work area so viewers can see the drawing that guides the finished painting. The surrounding tabletop contains a heavily used mixing palette with floral colors, a handwritten watercolor pigment chart, an open pan palette, rinse water in a glass jar, extra brushes, a stained paper towel, and a clear storage tray of art tools.
