Nature Journaling for Mom

Overhead outdoor photograph of an open nature journal resting directly on sunlit green grass beside watercolor supplies. The left journal page contains a detailed watercolor illustration of a brown sparrow perched on a branch, surrounded by handwritten observations and notes, with large decorative green lettering reading “Brown Sparrow” across the bottom. A pale blue pen or pencil lies vertically near the journal’s center fold, and a black marker rests diagonally across the blank cream-colored right page. An open travel watercolor palette sits partly over the lower right side of the journal, showing numerous vivid paint pans and mixing wells stained with blue, green, orange, red, brown, and gray pigments. A clear plastic water bottle stands to the right, and a white bowl containing cloudy rinse water and a paintbrush sits at the lower right. Bright sunlight casts distinct shadows of the supplies and grass across the pages.
